Classes of Membership

  • Member: Professional in an executive, managerial, supervisory, or responsible charge position who is primarily responsible for the security function of their organization.
  • Associate: Individual with professional interest in security, seeking the educational benefits provided by membership in ASIS.
    • Member Fees:
      1. For applications approved between 1 October through 30 June
        $215 USD ($195 member dues plus $20 application fee; total $215)
      2. For applications approved 1 July through 30 September
        (Note: membership expires on December 31 of the current year.)
        $117.50 USD ($97.50 member dues plus $20 application fee; total $117.50)
  • Student Member: Full-time student actively pursuing a security-related degree. Student membership is not available to those who would otherwise qualify as a regular member.
    • For applications approved between 1 October through 30 June
      $70 USD ($60 member dues plus $10 application fee; total $70)
    • For applications approved between 1 July through 30 September
      (Note: membership expires on 31 December of the current year)
