Criminal Justice/Security Management Scholarship Award
We are pleased to announce the Annual ASIS International Western Massachusetts Chapter #212 Scholarship Award which is offered for Criminal Justice and Security Management Undergraduate students.
The purpose of this scholarship is to promote professionalism and education within the Security Management/Criminal Justice Fields, and to provide educational assistance to college students pursuing an undergraduate degree in these areas.
This scholarship was established in 2003 by the members of the Western Massachusetts Chapter 212 of ASIS International to aid students in Western Massachusetts in achieving their educational goals. The chapter is allowed to grant one $500.00 scholarship, which has matching funds provided by ASIS International for a total of $1,000.00.
A copy of the application form and selection criteria is attached to this letter. Please feel free to make copies for distribution. All applications should be sent to the Scholarship Chair and be received by August 14th of each year. Award decision(s) will be made to all applicants NLT 30 September of each year.
We are asking for your assistance in publicizing this scholarship. Please post this information in a prominent location and notify potential applicants in any way possible so that they may have an opportunity to apply for the scholarship.
We have been actively fundraising for this scholarship for the past few years. We are excited to be able to offer this opportunity to support the education of present and future Security and Criminal justice professionals. ASIS Foundation Scholarships
One of the primary objectives of the ASIS Foundation is to encourage academic and educational pursuits for students and professionals in the security field. The Foundation offers a variety of scholarships and award programs to help ASIS members and nonmembers reach their goals.
The ASIS International Foundation has established the Roy Bordes Award for Physical Security to recognize Roy Bordes’ life’s work. Each year, one chapter will win a customized physical security program to be presented laocally. Applications are available now.
The Timothy J. Walsh APC I Award will pay the tuition, transportation, and hotel (room and tax) costs for an ASIS member to attend the ASIS Assets Protection Course (APC) I.
The Allan J. Cross, CPP™, Award pays the registration fee for ASIS members to attend an ASIS certification review course.
